IQ Pentagon (Another Timberdoodle Review)

IQ Pentagon is similar to the smart game I reviewed a few weeks ago, IQ Circle, only (in my opinion) this one is even harder!

Like IQ Circle, IQ Pentagon contains a compact, travel-sized puzzle and a hardbound book filled with 120 different challenges in graduated levels of difficultly.

Unlike IQ Circle, the shapes in the IQ Pentagon game pieces (pentagons instead of circles) are all the same size and are translucent instead of opaque.

We took IQ Pentagon with us in our last vacation with us. It was a fun way to spend downtime at our Airbnb.

But, as I said before, the challenges were really very… challenging. As in, each puzzle took a while to complete correctly.

Abby stuck with it and got hers, then helped me when I got stuck on my challenge. I had to play again early in the morning while she was still asleep to prove to myself I could figure the puzzle out without any help.

We’ve always loved puzzles and thinking games, and Timberdoodle carries such a great variety of them.

Is there somebody at your house who would enjoy IQ Pentagon? It is available through Timberdoodle for individual purchase, but is also included in their 2026 12th Grade Curriculum Kit, so check it out!

And while you’re on the Timberdoodle website, I’d encourage you to look around. We love everything we’ve ever ordered from this small family-owned company!
