Good Christians Coloring Page

Since Independence Day is right around the corner, I’m sharing my free printable Good Christians Coloring Page in lieu of a Bible verse coloring page this week. It features a quote by Daniel Webster:

“Whatever makes men good Christians, makes the good citizens.”

I believe Webster got that right. For good Christians obey God’s commands, many of which speak to our responsibility, not merely as future citizens of heaven, but as present citizens of governments here on earth:

Romans 13:1 – “Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”
1 Timothy 2:1-2 – “First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone—for kings and all those in authority—so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity.”
Titus 3:1 – “Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work…”
Ecclesiastes 10:20 – “Do not curse the king even in your thoughts, or curse the rich even in your bedroom, for a bird of the air may carry your words, and a winged creature may report your speech.”
1 Peter 2:13-14 – “Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to the king as the supreme authority, or to governors as those sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do right.”
Matthew 22:21 – “So Jesus told them, “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
