Never Idle Coloring Page

This week, I’m sharing my new free printable Never Idle Coloring Page. It features a verse from one of my favorite passages of scripture, Proverbs 31.
The passage outlines various characteristics of a virtuous woman, making it a challenging from the get-go. But I personally find verse 27 particularly convicting.

It reads,
“She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.”
Does that describe you? I want it to describe me, but that is not always the case. In the age of smart phones and social media, I find myself “eating the bread of idleness” far too often, as I scroll through feeds watching women who aren’t being idle prepare delicious-looking meals, sew heirloom quilts, cultivate gorgeous gardens, or make amazing works of art using felted wool, acrylic paint, crocheted yarn, scrap lumber, broken tile, or even concrete!

A little bit of such scrolling can provide much needed rest as well as creative inspiration. But at some point, we all need to put down the phone and get to work ourselves cooking, cleaning, and creating a home that is a blessing to everyone who walks through its doors.
That’s what a virtuous woman would do, after all. 😊
