Jesus told His followers, “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?”
He follows this up with an admonition not to worry in verse 34: “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
And Paul later echos the thought in Philippians 4:6. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
All these verses are good reminders, aren’t they? And this time of year, when all our feathered friends are back, chirping brightly and feathering their nests, we have their visual reminder, too. God takes care of the birds, and He has promised to take care of us, as well. ❤️
