My Cup Runneth Over Coloring Page

This week, I’m sharing our free printable “My Cup Runneth Over” coloring page “My Cup Runneth Over” coloring page. Though there is no annotation, it features a portion of Psalm 23:5, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”

Like many people these days, we have an automatic water dispenser on our refrigerator door. I keep a stack of large 28-oz cups next to my refrigerator, but the water comes out so slowly that it takes a while to fill them.

However, a couple of my sons discovered if they put a few ice cubes in the bottom of the cup, they can prop it against the water lever and leave it to fill while they do something else: Send a text. Raid the pantry. Eat a snack. Unload the dishwasher. Check the mail.

The trouble is, they sometimes get involved in those secondary tasks and forget all about the rising water level in their abandoned cup. At least, they forget until they step into the resultant puddle or notice the water pouring down the front of the fridge and pooling on the floor.

So that’s the mental image that springs to mind when I read Psalm 23:5. And in light of related scripture verses, I don’t think that’s too far off the mark:

  • “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” – Luke 6:38
  • “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” – Ephesians 3:20-21
  • “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace 8which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight…” – Ephesians 1:7-8
