Happy Resurrection Day! In honor of the occasion, I’m sharing this Nailed to a Cross coloring page. It’s a fitting reminder of all that Jesus endured on our account.
He suffered and bled and died for my sins and yours. When his followers wrapped His lifeless body in linen and laid it in a tomb late Friday afternoon, their hearts were heavy with grief.
But, praise the Lord, Jesus didn’t stay dead. By dawn of the third day, Christ had triumphed over death and risen from the grave. And He has invited us to walk in new life alongside Him.
Although “we were dead in our trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1), God made us alive with Christ through His resurrection. (Ephesians 2:5) “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
More to Color
I hope you enjoy this week’s coloring page. If you like to color, then come back again next Sunday for a new one. To download any of the pages I’ve published in the past, simply follow this link: Free Christian Coloring Pages.
Today’s Nailed to a Cross coloring page was originally published in Because He Lives, my devotional journal for Easter.
Here’s how the two-page spread looked in my personal copy once I finished coloring it:
This book joins eleven other titles in my growing collection of devotional journals. If you enjoy writing as much as coloring, check out the whole series.
Or, if you’d prefer to skip the journaling exercises, take a look at my Color the Word series. I designed these richly-detailed, Scripture-based coloring books with grown-ups in mind. But they can be enjoyed by all ages. They’re even available in Spanish!
