Today I’m sharing another printable to help you celebrate German Heritage Month. It’s a German Heritage Word Find.

Print out several copies and challenge your family and friends. Set a timer and see who can find the most German-related words in a set period of time. Or race and see who is first to find them all.

German Heritage Word Find

Some of the words name famous Germans: Albert Einstein, Martin Luther, Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, and Mozart. Some of the words name German delicacies: bratwurst, pretzels, schnitzel, and strudel. And some name some of the beautiful products produced by German craftsmen: cuckoo clocks, lederhosen, dirndls, and Porches.

We love Germany for all these reasons and more. Our son was stationed there with the Army for three years, and we visited his family twice before he was reassigned to Hawaii. On our last visit, we attended a concert that featured many traditional German instruments, songs, and folk dances. Here is a small taste for your enjoyment:
