It features the words of John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
The thing about it is, we will end up bearing fruit whether we abide in Christ or not. Matthew 7:17 tells us, “Every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.” The question, then, is not whether we’ll bear fruit, but what kind of fruit we will bear.
If you want to bear good fruit such as love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, and all the other wonderful qualities listed in Galatians 5:22, you must remain connected to the source of all these good things, Jesus.
He is the vine. We are the branches. Apart from Him, we can bear none of that good fruit.
I hope you’ll meditate on that fact as you color this page. And stay connected!
