Millard Fillmore Coloring Page

In honor of our 13th US president (whose birthday is today), I’m sharing this Millard Fillmore Coloring Page

As with so many of my other presidential coloring page, Fillmore’s quote sounds as if it could’ve been written in response to yesterday’s headlines: “May God save the country, for it is evident that the people will not.”

I found several other Fillmore quotes that are just as applicable to current times as this one. Read these in light of all that has transpired in our nation over the past couple years:

  • “Let us remember that revolutions do not always establish freedom.”
  • “The man who can look upon a crisis without being willing to offer himself upon the altar of his country is not for public trust.”
  • “An honorable defeat is better than a dishonorable victory.”

But back to the coloring page quote: I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment behind our former president’s words. The only hope for our beloved country lies not in political parities, social reforms, court decisions, or election results. My hope lies in Christ and Christ alone. Only God can save our country. The people in power seem hell-bent on destroying it.
