We seldom get snow in our neck of East Texas’s Piney Woods. But whenever we do, I love to sneak out of doors early in the morning to photograph the natural beauty while everything is still clean and bright. Before cars have coated the streets in icy sludge. Or neighborsBefore kids have trampled around in the snow or rolled it into balls to build forts and snowmen.
We did see some such rare snowfall a couple of weeks ago. Here’s the photographic proof:
I love seeing the world blanketed in a thick white cloak. The snow covers everything. You can’t see the mud or the patches of dead grass or the cracks in the sidewalk or anything.
Instead, all is pristine and perfect. Soft and serene. Peaceful and pure.
That’s what Jesus offers to do for us. His blood covers all our sin and shortcomings. In Him, we can stand before God forgiven, accepted, complete. Have you accepted His invitation?
“Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson, they will become like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
