Great Dragon Coloring Page

This week, I’m sharing this Great Dragon coloring page. It features Revelation 12:9: “The great dragon was hurled down–that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”

Did you catch that? If Satan had his way, he would lead the entire earth astray. Sometimes, when we watch the news, it seems he already has.

The Current Crisis

Christians often find ourselves in Satan’s crosshairs. We know he comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And when we see such things happening in our culture, we can be certain the devil is behind it. (John 10:10)

We are at war. But “we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

Yes, we have an enemy. But we must never lose sight of who our true enemy is. It isn’t our political adversary. Not those who disagree with us on culture or policy matters. Or those who would trample upon our dearly held liberties.

Certainly, we want to stand firm in the face of such opposition and not compromise the Truth, but ultimately, our fight is with the evil one himself, the great dragon.

The good news is, the war has already been won. Jesus defeated Satan at the cross. He is victorious over sin, death, and the grave. By grace through faith, He extends that same victory to us.

In the meantime, He has outlined a very clear battle plan for dealing with our flesh-and-blood opponents: He tells us to love them, “do good to those who hate you, bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.” (Luke 6:27-28)

The battle lines have been drawn, but it is a battle we must, first and foremost, fight on our knees.
