Mailbag: 3 Fun Music Videos for Easter
Emails have been piling up in my inbox lately, so I’m using Mondays to clear them out. This week’s message is not really a question, but it made me laugh. And it fits the season. So I wanted to share it here.
The Jolley family wrote me a few days ago in reference to this music video. It was project the kids and I posted on YouTube several years back, right before Easter. And one the Jolleys saw fairly soon after we posted it:
Message: I knew that song sounded familiar!
I’d never heard the original version of this song until a few months ago. We were in the store and it came on. I kept thinking “I know this!”
Then I realized your version is totally different! Imagine how dumb I felt… but how hilarious it was at the same time! The kids got a good laugh, at least. :)
Reply: Ha ha ha!
That’s too funny! It’s a catchy tune, isn’t it? But as with lots of other popular songs, we didn’t care much for the original lyrics. Hence, our grace-based version! 🙂
We did the same thing even earlier with “Let It Go” from Frozen. Here’s our Easter video version of that one:
And, since Easter is just around the corner, here’s one more video we did last year featuring “Never Enough” from The Greatest Showman:
We’ve done a few other music videos, as well. (You can browse our whole library here.) But these three are the only Easter songs we’ve recorded (so far).
We hope you enjoy them. And if you do, we’d love for you to share them on social media, too! The good news of Christ’s unending love is a story we never tire of telling — through every means available!
Came across this song on YouTube and really enjoyed showing it to my neices. Maybe they will get this one in their heads instead of the original 🙂 it’s encouraging to see this based on scripture. God bless you all!
Singing,”Graaaaaaaaace!” Oh, and I love, love, love the part: “it’s in the Bible” and “read your Bible”! I was talking about that exact topic earlier today about reading the Bible!!
