Cursive Logic US Presidents & Citizens

Cursive Logic US Presidents & Citizens

I’m back today with another Timberdoodle review — this time for a Cursive Logic workbook on US Presidents & Citizens. My daughter has been working through this handwriting curriculum over the past month or so.

The book begins with a simple description of how each letter is formed in cursive, both as a capital and in lowercase. The letters are grouped according to where the beginning stroke originates: at the baseline or just under the topline.

Practicing Penmanship

After a few pages of practice on the basic strokes and on two- and three-letter joins, students progress to writing short quotes from famous Americans — one representing each of our 50 states.

I was grateful for the opportunity to review this curriculum, as students greatly benefit from learning to write cursive. Learning cursive was a huge help to my children who struggled with letter reversals. Once they began a word properly, they could keep on writing without having to pause and think which way each successive letter faced.

And this particular cursive curriculum packs so much into the practice. I love they way Cursive Logic integrates penmanship with US history and geography, as well.
