It Is Finished! Coloring Page

Free Coloring Page for Easter: It is Finished!

Jesus completed the task He came to accomplish. It is finished!He died on the cross, was buried in a tomb, then arose again, three days later. And so we sing…

“Christ the Lord is risen today! Alleluia!”

Aren’t you grateful we serve a resurrected Lord? He accomplished what He came to do. Jesus died on the cross for my sin and for yours. He was sealed up in a tomb. But then, on the third day…

“Up from the grave, He arose with a mighty triumph o’er His foes!”

I love Easter Sunday. And I love all the old Easter hymns that proclaim the fact that Jesus conquered sin and death when He rose up from the grave.

“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.”

So it seems fitting to share a coloring page today based on another old Easter hymn I love, “Man of Sorrows” by Philip Bliss:

“Man of Sorrows,” what a name
For the Son of God who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim!
Hallelujah! what a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
In my place condemned He stood;
Sealed my pardon with His blood;
Hallelujah! what a Savior!

Guilty, vile, and helpless, we,
Spotless Lamb of God was He;
Full redemption—can it be?
Hallelujah! what a Savior!

Lifted up was He to die,
“It is finished!” was His cry;
Now in heaven exalted high;
Hallelujah! what a Savior!

When He comes, our glorious King,
To His kingdom us to bring,
Then anew this song we’ll sing
Hallelujah! what a Savior!
