Mailbag: Catching Up

Monday Mailbag - Catching Up

While I was busy getting settled into our new house, I fell behind on my blogging, so I’ll be spending the next few weeks catching up. In addition to reviewing some wonderful educational products from Timberdoodle and posting about some of the fun places we visited on a recent vacation, I’ll also be cleaning out my mailbag. I’ll kick that off by answering some of the messages I’ve received in the past few days, starting with this one:

Thanks for the recipe!

Dear Jennifer,

I love reading your articles in the Tyler newspaper! I made your minestrone soup today and wanted you to know we absolutely loved it! I added a cup of uncooked macaroni the last 15 minutes which we thought made it even better! Thanks for sharing your great ideas. May God richly bless you and your family.

Sincerely,
Mary

Mama's Marvelous Minestrone

To which I replied:

Thanks, Mary. I’m glad you enjoyed the minestrone. I’ll bet it did taste even better with a little pasta added.

I’m also happy to hear you like reading my column. I’ve appreciated the opportunity to write for the Tyler Morning Telegraph. In addition to writing for them or for this website, you can also find me blogging at Loving Life at Home or posting on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

Where’s your Christmas letter?

I also received the following short message just this afternoon from a reader named Jeaneen: “Looking forward to your 2016 Christmas letter!:)”

I’m afraid I’ve been slow about posting that one, but as it happens, I’d just finished putting it online last night, so if you are interested in catching up with our family’s latest news, you’ll find it all in our 2016 Flanders Family Update — along with lots and lots of family photos!

Cruising with Grandkids
Having kids and grandkids on the cruise doubled the fun!

Thanks for the printables!

And — last but not least — one of our sweet readers left the following message on our Flanders Family Home Life Facebook page this week: “Thank you for the plethora of free printables… they’re so helpful!”

To which I said a hearty “You’re welcome.” It’s always nice to be appreciated!

If you haven’t checked out our growing list of free printable resources lately, you can view them here. I’m in the process of catching up on this list, too, as I’ve fallen behind on adding our newest printable resources to the list. So, if you’re looking for a particular printable and don’t see it there, you can also search for it here. Or type a description in the search bar at the top of this blog. You may be able to track down what you need that way even faster

In the meantime, I’ll be posting a round-up of all our Valentine’s printables later this week, including a couple of brand new ones. If you enjoy it, I’d love for you to like it, pin it, and/or share it. Thanks!
