SmartMax Baby STEM Set Review
We recently had an opportunity to try out the SmatMax Baby STEM play set with a few of our grandchildren.
The set consists of chunky plastic building pieces in a variety of shapes and bright colors, all with strong magnets inside that make connecting them to each other a breeze.
Straight and curved lengths combine with large white balls to form simple 3-D structures.
My granddaughter especially loved playing with the white balls that had faces painted on them.
She could combine the heads with specialty pieces like hats, bodies, and wheeled pieces to make people and passenger trains.
The set is designed for ages 1-6, but our older kids enjoyed “helping” the grands build things, as well. Even baby could play with the pieces with no fear of choking on the pieces.
If you have young kids or grandkids you’d like to introduce to STEM learning early, check out the SmartMax Baby STEM set yourself. It is available through Timberdoodle as a stand alone product and is also a part of their 2023 Tiny Tots Curriculum Kit.
While you’re on the Timberdoodle website, I’d encourage you to look around. We love everything we’ve ever ordered from this small family-owned company!

I had to comment, Jennifer. My little guy (18 months) has the same Carter’s sleeveless onesie set with the whales on it as your little grandson. Every time you’ve posted a Timberdoodle review lately he is wearing a different piece from the set, and my heart just melts. They are hand me downs from when my 5 year old was that age, and I just love them ❤️
That’s too funny, Laura. I loved seeing each of my boys wear the same hand-me-downs that their brothers wore at the same age. Although this little grandson’s father forced most of those original baby outfits into retirement because he drug his belly on the ground for so long when he crawled.
