Cute Cards for Kids to Color

I have quite a few questions and special requests from readers sitting in my email inbox right now awaiting a reply. So I’m going to start using Mondays to work my way through them, starting with this letter from a mother who is looking for some cute cards for kids to color:

Question: Do you have any cards that kids can color?
Hi, Jennifer.
I was wondering if you would be interested in making printable greeting cards for kids to make. My kids make encouragement cards for the widows at our church but I would like to find some kind of printable to make it a bit more structured.
Thank you,
Hannah
Answer: I’d be happy to make some!
After a little messaging back and forth to see what exactly Hannah had in mind, I came up with four simple designs for her children to color for their senior friends.

Each of the cards has a black line drawing on the front, a space on the back for them to sign their name (if they wish), and a verse and smaller doodle inside that matches the front of the card.

Of course, if you would prefer to write your own letter inside, you can print single-sided copies of just the odd pages, which will leave the interior of the greeting cards blank.

Let your kids color the front of the cards — and the insides as well, unless the older ones want to add their own sentiments.

Happy coloring! I imagine the recipients of these sweet handmade cards will be thrilled to know your children were thinking of them!
