The Right Thing to Do Coloring Page

Our new free printable Right Thing to Do Coloring Page showcases James 4:17. I love this verse, but also find it very convicting…

“Therefore to one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.” This verse serves as a good reminder that there are two kinds of sin. Sins of commission, when we do something God has forbidden: lie, cheat, steal, gossip, etc. We want to avoid all those.
But there are also sins of omission. Things we know we should be doing, but don’t. If you’ve ever refused to forgive, neglected to pray, entertained anxious thoughts instead of giving your burdens over to God, or remained silent when God prompted you to boldly proclaim the truth, then you’ve been guilty of this kind of sin, as well. Sins of omission.

So let’s do our best, by God’s enabling grace, to avoid both extremes, shall we? Let’s stop doing the things God has told us not to do and spend our time doing the things He commands rather than ignoring or neglecting those duties.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday! May God be glorified in everything you do, say, and think!
