One of my favorite things about this time of year is daily checking our mailbox to find cards, photos, and yearly updates from so many family members and friends. And they don’t stop coming on Christmas. Procrastinators (like me this year) are sometimes so slow about getting their cards in the mail that, invariably, a few more trickle in during the first few days and weeks of the new year. Which makes it feel like Christmas all over again — and is why I thought now would be as good a time as any to share my new Greeting Friends Coloring Page.
This coloring page features the words of 3 John 1:14, “I hope to see you shortly, and we will speak face to face. Peace be to you. The friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.”
Friendly greetings are nice any time of year. Don’t you agree?
Sometimes, instead of belated Christmas cards bearing family news, we receive New Year’s letters or Valentine cards or even Easter greetings. I love them all. News and photos from loved ones are always welcome, any time of year!
I’m planning to stick with Christmas, though, for sending my own family updates out into the world. I’ve been doing that for nearly forty years, now. and the collection of old letters paints a wonderful family history. My husband normally reads them aloud to the entire family each December.
