Reader Request - 2021 Calendars for Advanced Planning

Long about mid-January every year I start hearing from readers requesting copies of my calendars for the following year. And this year is no exception. Which means requests for 2021 calendars have been piling up in my inbox for six weeks already. Here’s a small sampling:

Letters from Readers

  • Hello, Thank you so much for sharing your life with others. You change lives…including mine. Thank you so much. I wonder if you happen to have a 2021 year calendar yet? Monica
  • Will you be making a 2020/2021 academic calendar? The 2019/2020 was so helpful for planning the year! I shared a link to your website on a homeschool group so others could use it too. Amanda
  • I just love your Year at a Glance Printable Calendars and use the 2020 one everyday. Will you be creating a 2021 soon? Thanks! Robbie
  • I have enjoyed your blog for years now and really appreciate your printable calendars! I was wondering if you’ll be making any of the 2020-2021 calendars in the near future? Our family schools year-round, and we have already begun the planning/preparation for the coming year but I can’t find a calendar that would work. Hope to hear from you soon. Sandra
  • Hello and Happy New Year! Just wondering when your 2020-21 Academic calendar will be ready. They are most helpful and I thank you for providing them! Marcie
  • Hello!! I was wondering when by chance you would have your new calendars available? Thank you!! Rebecca
  • Hi! Will you be putting up your scrapbook calendars for 2021? They’re my absolute favorite!! Thank you! Catherine

Is This What You Had in Mind?

Obviously, a lot of my readers believe in advanced planning! If that describes you, too, then today’s post will be right up your alley! I’ve decided to clear a lot of emails out of my inbox and post all of my 2021 calendars here in one place for easy reference. That way, you can print what you need when you need them. Just scroll past the 2020 calendars below to get to the 2021 calendars, if that’s why you’re here.

Of course, I know not everybody thinks so far ahead. If you — like me — are still trying to get on top of 2020, you can download calendars for the year we’re in by following these links:

2020 Calendars for In-the-Now Planning 🙂

  • 2020 Year-at-a-Glance Calendar
  • Academic Calendar for the 2019-20 School Year
  • 2020 Month-by-Month Calendar Pages
  • 2020 Scrapbooking Calendar

Then, once you get a handle on this year and are ready to start planning the next, the following calendars should come in handy. Simply click the image of whichever calendar suits you best to download:

My 2021 Year-at-a-Glance Calendar

I originally designed this calendar at the request of my husband, who uses it to track his call schedule at the hospital. It gives a great, one-page view of the entire year.

Monthly 2021 Calendar Pages

I use these pages to keep track of appointments and extra-curricular activities. For years, I’ve also kept a micro-journal by penning in a one-sentence summary at the end of every day in the little square provided.

2021 Month-by-Month Calendars for Advanced Planning

Academic Calendar for the 2020-21 School Year

These calendars give a bird’s eye view for the entire school year. Since we homeschool year-round anyway, I favor the version that runs from July to June. But after getting several requests for an academic calendar with an August start date, I now provide both. So take your pick!

2020-21 Academic Calendar (August Start)

2020-21 Academic Calendar (July Start)

2021 Scrapbooking Calendar

I polish the micro-journal from my monthly calendar pages and record family goings-on using these prettier, hand-drawn calendars to keep a more permanent record. Once it’s all filled in, I put the original in my own scrapbook and glue color copies into each of my children’s scrapbooks. But I’ve heard from lots of mothers and teachers who prefer using this bright, cheery calendar in their homes and classrooms.

    Good afternoon,

I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the yearly calendar you put out on your website for hassle-free, time saving use!

This calendar is exactly what I need and just do not have the time to create it myself. Our office uses it as our vacation time off calendar and it works perfect.

    Thank you so much J

I’m so glad you’ve found them helpful, Carol! I’m working on the 2022 scrapbooking calendar even now. As soon as that’s finished, I’ll be posting all of next year’s calendar styles, too.

I forgot to say in my comment that I have trouble finding the calendar at times. This year it wasn’t listed under printables in the calendar section. I found it through a back door with Google.

Sorry about that! I’m working on a solution that will make it easier to find in the future and will automatically update when the newest calendars post. Hopefully, I’ll have that in place before time to publish the 2022 calendars… which will likely be sometime in January of 2021!

I wanted to thank you so much for sharing this calendar. I’ve used it for the last three years in planning for my school year. Can I ask what program you use to create this? I love it so much and am afraid one day I’ll come looking and you’ll be gone. Thank you!!!!

I’m glad you like it so much, Shelby. I built it in Word using 12 tables in a 3 column format. It’s tedious work, but not difficult. Fortunately for those who are unwilling or unable to make their own, I plan to keep updating these calendars every year for as long as the LORD allows. 🙂

Still, you’re smart to realize that the day will inevitably arrive when you or someone like you will come looking, and I’ll be gone. None of us are guaranteed another year, another day, another minute — which is why it is so important that we settle the question of where we’ll spend eternity while we still have the breath to do so. When my time on earth is over, I’ll be at the feet of Jesus, worshipping the One who gave His life for me! “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

I just printed off my 2021 scrapbook calendar to enter doctors appointments. When I got to June I noticed there aren’t any numbers. I went back to the website to check for another copy of June with the numbers but couldn’t find one. Will you post a corrected copy on the website or did I miss it. These calendars are truly a lifesaver at my house. Even my husband has wrote in things. I’ve used them since 2012!!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to work these up and then to post them for others to use.

Oops! Thanks so much for letting me know, Debbie. I’ll switch out the files on the website as soon as I can, but in the meantime, I direct messaged you the corrected calendar. I noticed I left the dates off the last two days of May, as well, so you may want to reprint that month, too.

For instance, sometimes when they’ve continued to squabble or butt heads even after I’ve called them down, I’ll send them to opposite corners of the house with a list-making assignment: ✅ “Describe 3 better ways you could’ve responded in that situation than the one you chose.” ✅ “Write down 5 things you love and appreciate about your sister. “ ✅ “List 10 ways you could show kindness to your brother. “ With that last one, I’d follow up by telling them to choose a different idea off their list every day for the next 10 days and do it. Gradually, over time, those kind, loving deeds became their default behavior. And as a bonus, the kids not only learned to be kind to one another, but showed similar courtesies to friends, other family members, and strangers, alike. It doesn’t act irritated or annoyed when the object of its love needs time or attention. Patient love is selfless and long suffering — just as God is with us. As Christians, this is the kind of love God calls us to demonstrate to our spouse, our children, our neighbors, and even our enemies — a constant, unruffled love that bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. A love that would be quite impossible apart from the endless grace and indwelling power of God. #goals #radicallove
