I originally began making these calendars each year to use in scrapbooking. I’d fill out one, then make enough color copies for all my children, thus cutting down on the need to journal in twelve individual scrapbooks. This way, all our kids have the same record of events, written in their mother’s own hand.
One school teacher wrote to say she uses these with her third grade students for micro-journaling.
I post a copy on the bulletin board in my own homeschool classroom, right alongside school schedules and chore assignments, so that the whole family can keep an eye on upcoming doctor’s appointments and field trips.
Feel free to print copies for your own use. We pray 2014 brings abundant blessings for all of you!
Thank you for sharing your printables! I put up cardstock copies of Sep-Dec 2013 on our wall by our school table and we filled them in with our own events and now they’re going into a file until I can make a little scrapbook at the end of the year. I was thrilled to find 2014 printables to continue this. Having our calendar up adds more excitement and anticipation for events since the kids are always looking at the things they are looking forward to…makes school more fun!
I, too, started posting a copy on the bulletin board where I keep school assignments. The kids can help make sure I don’t forget any field trips (or orthodontist appointments) that way.
I Just recently was introduced to your web site and I am really impressed with it thank you so much for all the hard work you do. God Bless You, Sandra
