Course: Dessert

  • 2 sticks real cream butter
  • cups flour
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • cups blueberries

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Rinse berries in a colander. Set aside to drain.
  • In separate large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients. Cut cold butter in using a pastry blender until large clumps form. Using a rubber spatula, gently mix in oats.
  • Butter the bottom of a 9” x 13” glass baking dish. Spread blueberries in the bottom of the dish. Crumble above mixture over the top of the blueberries, covering the fruit as evenly as possible.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, until juices are bubbling and topping is evenly browned. Serve fresh fruit crumble warm with a large scoop of vanilla ice cream.

We usually use blackberries to make this recipe, but. it is delicious with blueberries, apples, plums, cherries, peaches, or mixed berries, as well. Try them all and see which you like best!
