\"Psalm<\/p>\n

I’ve always found today’s verse personally convicting:<\/p>\n

“I will set no worthless thing before my eyes.” – Psalm 101:3<\/a>
\n<\/h2>\n

Other versions translate it “vain,” “wicked,” “vile,” “vulgar,” “base,” or “evil.”<\/p>\n

I prefer the New American Standard translation, for although I’m not often tempted to set my eyes on evil, wicked things, I do sometimes focus my attention or center my thoughts on things that are empty or worthless. I waste time thinking on things that have little value in the scope of eternity.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

And I think my kids sometimes fall into that same temptation. So this is the verse we’re memorizing this week<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Maybe having to quote it before checking out the iPad<\/a> will encourage them to be more selective about the time they subsequently spend on it.<\/p>\n

And maybe hearing it quoted so often will remind Mama to do the same<\/strong>. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
