We set up shop at a long table and churn them out in fast order. She stuffed and addressed all the envelopes by hand and sent them unembellished.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The task is much more fun now that we do it together! <\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Ideas for Christmas Card Assembly Line Tasks <\/h2>\n<p>Here\u2019s how our job assignments are currently broken down:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Put return address labels on envelopes<\/li>\n<li>Affix postage stamps to envelopes<\/li>\n<li>Emboss envelope flap with Monogram seal<\/li>\n<li>Put small stickers on front of envelope<\/li>\n<li>Put large sticker on back of envelope<\/li>\n<li>Rubber stamp envelope with red ink<\/li>\n<li>Rubber stamp envelope with green ink<\/li>\n<li>Use small self-inking stamp<\/li>\n<li>Affix foil stars to the envelope<\/li>\n<li>Add a strip or two of washi tape to front of envelope <\/li>\n<li>Put labels on backs of photos<\/li>\n<li>Fold Christmas letters<\/li>\n<li>Stuff letters and photos into envelopes<\/li>\n<li>Address envelopes (we print out recipients&#8217; address labels, too)<\/li>\n<li>Add handwritten notes as desired<\/li>\n<li>Seal envelope (we use self-sealers, so nobody gets stuck licking 200+ envelopes) and place finished letter in mail bucket<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We rotate jobs several times during the course of the evening, and <strong>we pray for the recipients when we drop the letters at the post office<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.flandersfamily.info\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Assembly-Line-4.jpg?resize=975%2C732&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Assembly Line 4\" width=\"975\" height=\"732\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9118\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.flandersfamily.info\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Assembly-Line-4.jpg?w=650&amp;ssl=1 650w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.flandersfamily.info\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Assembly-Line-4.jpg?resize=600%2C450&amp;ssl=1 600w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.flandersfamily.info\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Assembly-Line-4.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.flandersfamily.info\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/Assembly-Line-4.jpg?resize=250%2C187&amp;ssl=1 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 975px) 100vw, 975px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>UPDATE (2022): This remains one of our favorite Christmas traditions. Our adult children often plan visits home to coincide with our annual Christmas card assembling event &#8212;  bringing grandkids with them (who also want to help).
