My new “God Demonstrates His Love” coloring page<\/a> features the words to one of my all-time favorite verses, Romans 5:8<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s the gospel in a nutshell. God in Christ did all the work on our behlf: He loved, He initiated, He pursued, He gave, He sacrificed, He died for us, even in our sinful state, because His love for us was so great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why I attach this verse to the end of my signature in almost every email I send. Because the good news just doesn’t get any better than this. Christ loved me, a sinner, and died in my stead so that I could spend eternity with Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But now I’m getting a little ahead of myself. Some of those concepts are not fully spelled out until later in this Roman Road to Salvation collection<\/a>. So check back in next Sunday for another installment in this series of hand-drawn coloring places. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
