My grandkids came over this week and tried out another of the new critical thinking games I recently got from Timberdoodle. This one is called Dress Code<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It contains several clear acrylic tiles — four with pictures of children on them, and several more sporting various patterns in a variety of colors and styles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Dress<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The game is designed for ages four and up, so it was the perfect thing to try out with my little granddaughter. Technically, she won’t be four for a few more months. But she loves to dress up, and caught on quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game also comes with a little booklet filled with 80 different challenges that gradually increase in difficulty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beginner level challenges were a cinch for this smart girl!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No need to read instructions. The objective is pretty self-explanatory: just make your child’s outfit match the one in the photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Dress<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

All the little acrylic tiles store away neatly in the little yellow box — together with the game booklet — making this a compact and portable activity to take on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity kept our little one quietly occupied for at least half an hour. It’s a great way to spend wait time at doctor’s appointments, in carpool lines, or while older siblings are doing homeschool lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She might’ve kept playing all afternoon had some of the older children not wanted a turn, as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those bright colors and bold patterns were hard to resist — even for my 13-year-old!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, she flipped immediately to the back of the game booklet to try her hand at the harder challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
