Only, ever since his initial run-in with a magical fairy by the name of Holly Short (Book 1), Artemis has begun to feel pangs of self-doubt. Although the title of this thin volume may sound a little stuffy, the collection of poems and prose on Christian manhood it contains verses I&#8217;ve never read elsewhere, such as the beautifully written &#8220;Women and Children First,&#8221; penned by the editor himself. <\/p>\n<p>One of our favorites in this collection, though, and one my children and I have subsequently committed to memory, is &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flandersfamily.info\/web\/it-couldnt-be-done-or-could-it\/\">It Couldn&#8217;t Be Done<\/a>&#8221; by Edgar Albert Guest. Selections are grouped by the stages of a man&#8217;s life: Boy, Son, Husband, Father, etc. <\/li>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<li>\n<h2><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1935273817\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=1935273817&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=theflafamweb-20\" ref=\"nofollow\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Long Sotry Short<\/a><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1935273817\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=1935273817&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=theflafamweb-20\" ref=\"nofollow\" target=\"blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.flandersfamily.info\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/Long-Story-Short.jpg?resize=150%2C217&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Long Story Short\" width=\"150\" height=\"217\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8009\" \/><\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=theflafamweb-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=1935273817\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/> We used this book for family devotions last year, but missed enough evenings due to call schedules and basketball games that we&#8217;re just now finishing it.  <\/p>\n<p>The book contains 366 ten-minute lessons &#8212; each with a Scripture reading, related anecdote, discussion questions, object lesson, and prayer request. The devotions are interactive enough to keep kids engaged and brief enough that even the littlest ones can make it through Bible time without getting too squirmy. That&#8217;s a win-win in our book, making it a great resource for teaching multiple ages at once!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>And that wraps up our reading list for last month.
