Timberdoodle recently sent me a fabulous new arts and craft kit to review. It’s called World of Dinosaurs<\/a>, and — just like its namesake — this kit is HUGE!<\/p>\n

\"More<\/p>\n

World of Dinosaurs<\/a> is part of Timberdoodle’s 2022 First Grade Curriculum Kit<\/a>, but it can also be purchased as a stand alone project. Either way, you can count on it providing hours of crafting fun in a wide variety of activities.<\/p>\n

\"Scratch<\/p>\n

It’s been a while since I’ve had any first graders myself, but I do have lots of grandkids in that target age range, and they were more than happy to try out the projects inside. One set of grands did the scratch art dino scenes.<\/p>\n

\"Scratch<\/p>\n

The instruction booklet provides step-by-step suggestions for completing each project, which kids are free to follow or ignore as they please. James and Ellen did a little of both and were delighted with their results.<\/p>\n

\"Finished<\/p>\n

Another set of grandkids came to visit another day, and finished another craft while they were at my house. <\/p>\n

\"World<\/p>\n

Easton, Noah, and Lydia chose to assemble the 3-D dinosaurs. There were three dinos and three children, so the numbers worked out perfectly. <\/p>\n

\"3-D<\/p>\n

This particular project was quickly completed but totally cool. Made out of heavy tag board, they were sturdy enough to stand on their own.<\/p>\n

\"Building<\/p>\n

Just look at the size of the finished 3-D models! They look poised and ready to run right off the table, don’t they?<\/p>\n

\"Kids<\/p>\n

And that’s just the beginning of this World of Dinosaurs kit. There are also scenes to paint. And a large stamp art mural.<\/p>\n

\"Stamp<\/p>\n

And yet another dinosaur waiting to be covered with metallic sticker scales.<\/p>\n

\"Sticker<\/p>\n

And also a couple of layered scenes that James and Ellen put together during a separate visit to Grandma’s house.<\/p>\n

They needed a little bit of help peeling the backs off some of the stickers, but Uncle Gabriel was happy to lend a hand with that job.<\/p>\n
