Since October 27 was the birthday of our 26th president, I thought this would be the perfect time to share with you my brand new Teddy Roosevelt Coloring Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The included quote features Roosevelt’s thoughts on education (thoughts with which I heartily agree): “To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.”<\/p>\n

Isn’t that the truth? I think that’s why scripture directs us to “add to your faith virtue and to virtue knowledge.” (2 Peter 1:5<\/a>) When you skip that middle step, society suffers, as we are seeing today.<\/p>\n

That’s because knowledge without goodness can be a dangerous thing. There is no such thing as a neutral education. All teachers teach from a particular worldview. Students will receive a much different education from a teacher who believes in absolute truth than from one who is convinced truth is relative. <\/p>\n

Which is a big part of the reason we chose to homeschool<\/a>. And if it is important to you that your child gets instruction in both mind and morals, I’d recommend you consider homeschooling as well.<\/p>\n
