\"A-to-Z<\/p>\n

I’m back with another Timberdoodle review this week, this time for an adorable little A-to-Z Animal Board Book<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\"Abby<\/p>\n

My grandkids love to read, and they were more than happy to help us take this title for a test drive.<\/p>\n

\"Taking<\/p>\n

Their Aunt Abby read them the book, and they took turns lifting the flaps.<\/p>\n

\"A-to-Z<\/p>\n

With the help of those flaps, every letter is magically transformed into a cute little critter in the shape of the letter that starts its name. What a clever design!<\/p>\n

\"E<\/p>\n

A is for alligator. B is for bear.<\/p>\n

\"A-to-Z<\/p>\n

And C, D, and E stand for crab, dog, and elephant, respectively. <\/p>\n

\"C<\/p>\n

And on and on it goes, all the way through Y for yak and Z for Zebra.<\/p>\n

\"A-to-Z<\/p>\n

I thought this book was very clever. It had a good variety of animals — including flamingos, narwals, tigers, and even urchins — and the flaps were sturdy and well anchored.<\/p>\n

\"A-to-Z<\/p>\n

That being said, baby sister did manage to tear one flap slightly on her first reading. Big brother had no trouble with them, but I recommend supervising very young readers to keep them from wresting the flaps right off the page.<\/p>\n

If your children love lift-the-flap books as much as ours do, give this A-to-Z Animal Board Book<\/a> a try. Timberdoodle sells it as a stand-alone title or as part of their 2002 Tiny Tots Curriculum Kit<\/a>.<\/p>\n
