Today’s free printable Come Unto Me Coloring Page<\/a> is hand-drawn and features one of my all-time favorite verses. In Matthew 11:28-30<\/a>, Jesus promises,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Come unto Me, all ye who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n

Christ’s declaration of His own gentleness calls to mind another favorite scripture as well. Isaiah 40:11 tells us,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Isn’t that a beautiful picture and a balm for a burdened soul? He will gently lead us. Guide us. Lighten our yoke. Give us rest. Carry us in His strong and capable arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All we must do is to come when He calls and cast our cares upon Him. Have you done that lately? Or are you still struggling under the heavy weight of life’s responsibilities and trying to shoulder those burdens yourself?<\/p>\n\n\n
