\"Kloak<\/p>\n

Shortly before Christmas, Timberdoodle offered me a deal I couldn’t refuse: 50% off any products I’d be willing to review. All I had to do was submit my my wishlist — and Kloak<\/a> definitely made the cut. <\/p>\n

I’d been eyeing this strategy game ever since Timberdoodle first started carrying it. It can be played by 2, 3 or 4 players.<\/p>\n

You’ve got to think ahead<\/h2>\n

\"Kloak<\/p>\n

The concept is simple: Get three of the same colored pegs in a row (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally) TWICE to win the game. <\/p>\n

\"Strategy<\/p>\n

You can move the pegs by themselves by sliding one to an adjacent empty square, or you can cloak them with a wooden cover and slide them under wraps. <\/p>\n

\"Thinking<\/p>\n

The cloaking forces you to really concentrate to keep straight in your head which colors are where. And in planning your strategy, you must think through how your opponent(s) my move and how such moves will affect your ability to line up three in a row before they can.<\/p>\n

For this reason, the more players you have, the more challenging the game (although when playing with four people, you must divide into two teams and work together to win).<\/p>\n

\"Kloak<\/p>\n

We took Kloak<\/a> on vacation with us last week. It helped keep the kids quietly entertained in our hotel room — so much so that we barely turned the television on all week. The kids gave it two thumbs up, for sure.<\/p>\n

\"Kloak<\/p>\n

One of my sons even tried to teach his grandmother how to play. The game can be played by a broad range of ages and is perfect for giving your memory muscles a workout. \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

You can buy Kloak<\/a> as a stand-alone product, but it is also included in Timberdoodle’s 8th grade curriculum kit<\/a>. If you and\/or your kids enjoy strategy games, you’ll want to give this one a try.<\/p>\n
