Today I’m sharing a “Train Up a Child” coloring page<\/a>. It features Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go; Even when he is old he will not depart from it.”<\/p>\n

Train Up a Child<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

We must remember that this verse is a proverb, not a promise. Most parents (including me) would love a guarantee: Just feed a child vegetables, and he’ll be a healthy eater. School her well, and she’ll be successful. Teach him the Bible, and he’ll give his heart to Jesus. <\/p>\n

But that’s not always how it plays out. Because there’s that little thing called free will<\/em> that also comes into play. <\/p>\n

Nevertheless, we as parents do all the things, while covering our children in prayer<\/a> from pregnancy<\/a> through the teen years<\/a> to adulthood<\/a>, because we know that is the charge God has given us. <\/p>\n

We try to point them in the right direction. To live godly lives before them. And to train them up in the way they should go<\/em>, all the while looking to God for the wisdom and patience and strength and endurance to raise them well.<\/p>\n
