For this week’s Scripture Sunday post, I’m sharing A New Command coloring page<\/a>. It features the words of Jesus in John 13:34<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Love as I have loved you.” That’s a tall order! Christ laid down His very life for us. He loved us unconditionally and sacrificially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’d like to think that I’d lay down my life for my loved ones if called upon to do so. But if that’s really true, why am I still so selfish? Why do I bristle at being inconvenienced?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is because I am completely incapable of Christ’s kind of love. But, thankfully, He does not call us to conjure up such love in our own strength, for He knows that would be an exercise in futility. Instead, He calls us to be channels of His love to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we will let Him, He will fill us to overflowing with His brand of selfless, sacrificial, supernatural love, such that it will naturally spill over on everyone around us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is our only hope for ever fulfilling the new command recorded on this coloring page.<\/p>\n\n\n
