Psalm 51<\/a> is a psalm of repentance. David wrote Psalm 51 after the prophet Nathan confronted him about his adultery with Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah.<\/p>\n

It models how Christians should respond when they come face to face with their sin. “Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your loving devotion; according to Your great compassion, blot out my transgressions. Wash me clean of my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.” (Psalm 51:1-2<\/a>)<\/p>\n
