This week’s “Scripture Sunday” coloring page<\/a> features Psalm 4:8<\/a>.“I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

The psalmist knows what we sometimes forget: that safety depends not upon the absence of danger, but upon God’s abiding presence. It’s a good reminder to us in the midst of riots and pandemics and a world of uncertainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

None of those things are causing me to lose any sleep. Because I know that, just because these things are beyond my control<\/em>, does not mean they are out of control<\/em>. The LORD is still on His throne. And we can place our hope and trust in Him with confidence. Scripture bears this fact out over and over again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our peace is found only in God<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
