God had lots of good reasons for making mothers. But I think one of the most important was to ensure children are well-covered in prayer. My own dear mother is a praying mother. The sentiment on this coloring page is so true of her!<\/p>\n

There’s no place I’ve gone, no hardship I’ve faced, no challenge I’ve tackled that my mother’s prayers didn’t accompany me.<\/p>\n

Even at 82, she still gets on her knees daily to pray for her family. She prays for me and my sister, and for our husbands and children. She prays for our children’s spouses and their children — her great-grandchildren. All by name. And this, in addition to a slew of other requests she has noted in her prayer journal. <\/p>\n

My mother is a prayer warrior, no question. If they awarded black belts or Nobel prizes or medals of honor for unflagging fervor in prayer, she’d have a trophy case full of them. As it is, she is laying up for herself more crowns in heaven<\/a> with each passing year.<\/p>\n

What’s more, God has been faithful to answer those prayers. <\/p>\n

Prayer is work<\/a>, but Mom keeps at it. She’s tireless. What a blessing it is to have such a mother! <\/p>\n

I’m doing my very best to follow her godly example. She taught me to pray in good times and bad. And to pray hardest when it’s hardest to pray<\/a>. And I encourage you to do the same, whether you have children or not. <\/p>\n
