\"Beginning<\/a>Timberdoodle<\/a> sells a lot of fun products for teaching geography. <\/strong><\/p>\n

We’ve used their Global Puzzle<\/a> for years<\/strong> and have recently discovered and enjoyed their 3-D puzzle globe<\/a>, as well. But it wasn’t until this summer that we tried any of their geography workbooks.<\/p>\n

Since map-reading workbooks were completely new to my youngest child<\/strong>, I started with Beginning Geography<\/a>, an Evan Moor book that is included in Timberdoodle’s Kindergarten Curriculum Kit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Beginning<\/p>\n

The book begins with very simplistic directional skills<\/strong> using relatable “maps” of bedrooms and playgrounds.<\/p>\n

\"Beginning<\/p>\n

From there, Beginning Geography<\/a> progresses to schematics of neighborhoods and wilderness lands, introducing map symbols and keys and how to use them<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Beginning<\/p>\n

Beginning Geometry includes a couple of vocabulary sections with games to facilitate learning<\/strong>. Abby’s older brothers got in on the action, too…<\/p>\n

\"Beginning<\/p>\n

… and learned something new<\/strong> in the process.<\/p>\n

\"Beginning
\nThe book comes with a couple of full-color posters<\/strong>, which our kids love!<\/p>\n

\"Beginning<\/p>\n

And all the activity pages are reproducible, so one workbook can be used for several students<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

That’s always a plus for our big family!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Beginning<\/p>\n

Although it covers a broad range of topics<\/strong>, including landforms, bodies of water, continents and oceans and distinctive features of each, Beginning Geography<\/a> is just that: the beginning<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Evan Moor has six more levels<\/strong> of Daily Geography<\/a> workbooks beyond this introductory book.<\/p>\n

Timberdoodle carries all of them. They gave us the first book in exchange for this honest review, but I can already see that my kids are going to want to continue the series <\/strong>once we’re finished with the introduction.
