I’m sorry today’s He Gently Leads coloring page is so late, but our family is currently on vacation. We’ve been touring the Northeast<\/strong> — hence, all the travel posts<\/a> I’ll be publishing this week. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n

We spent the morning hiking through Flume Gorge<\/a> in New Hampshire’s beautiful Franconia Notch State Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The terrain is gorgeous<\/strong> (no pun intended) up here, with lots of woodlands…<\/p>\n\n\n

…surrounding rocky streams and waterfalls<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

\n

Everything is covered with lush moss and green ferns<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

It was only a two-mile hike<\/strong>, but the paths were sometimes steep, and the little ones frequently lagged behind the front runners…<\/p>\n\n\n

… primarily because they were waiting up for Mom.<\/strong> (“Are you okay, Mom? You look tired.”)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we took plenty of water breaks<\/strong> to rest our legs, catch our breath, eat a snack, and rehydrate…<\/p>\n\n\n

… before hitting the trail again.<\/p>\n\n\n

My sweet husband’s patience and care for his wife and children<\/strong> during the hike reminded me of the following Bible verse:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.” (Isaiah 40:11, NIV)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

So I thought that would be a good one to share<\/strong> today:<\/p>\n\n\n
