Some put this holiday on June 26. Others on July 7. Still others on the first Sunday in August.<\/p>\n<p>My attitude is, why wait? If you are harboring bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness in your heart, <strong>there&#8217;s no time like the present to unburden yourself by extending forgiveness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Please <strong>do this without delay <\/strong>&#8212; whether the person who offended you asks for it or not. Learning to <a href=\"http:\/\/lovinglifeathome.com\/2014\/05\/30\/i-married-a-sinner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">forgive freely<\/a> is foundational to finding happiness in life.<\/p>\n<p>I think that&#8217;s one reason <strong>the Bible stresses the importance of forgiveness<\/strong> so frequently.<\/p>\n<h2>What the Bible says about forgiveness:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.
