This week’s “Scripture Sunday” coloring page features James 1:2-3<\/a>. “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing this, that the testing of your faith, produces patience.” <\/p>\n

That’s easily said. Harder to apply. But well worth the effort in the long run in terms of reduced stress, peace of mind — and obedience to God! <\/p>\n

Final exams are just around the corner<\/strong>. So my college kids will be going through a very literal period of testing during the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the verse on this week’s coloring page will serve as a good reminder. We all need to maintain a joyful heart in the midst of the stress that often accompanies such examinations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

And the verses that follow are equally fitting for such a time as this:<\/p>\n

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him<\/strong>.” (James 1:2-5<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That’s a promise I’d be claiming right now if I were still in school. In fact, I routinely pray for wisdom, even without the pressure of finals!

\nDo you feel yourself lacking in either patience or wisdom? I urge you to pray for them as you color this week’s design. Doing both at once should melt stress away before your eyes!<\/p>\n
