In honor of Mother’s Day, I wanted to share this special Blessed Mother coloring page<\/a> from my new devotional journal for moms, Sweet Child of Mine<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The title of this new journal came from a poem I wrote for the occasion:<\/p>\n

Sweet Child of Mine<\/h2>\n

From the moment I met you,
\nSweet child of mine,
\nI’ve carried you close to my heart
\nAnd tried to protect you
\nAnd teach you to mind
\nAnd point you to God from the start.<\/p>\n

My heart overflows now
\nWith joy from above–
\nSweet memories of days spent with you–
\nWith tender compassion,
\nWith undying love,
\nWith prayers God will carry you through.<\/p>\n

For soon you will leave me,
\nSweet child of mine,
\nYou’ll spread wings and fly far from home.
\nAnd how it will grieve me–
\nThis passage of time–
\nThough I\u2019ll feel proud to see you all grown.<\/p>\n

So, LORD, keep me mindful of
\nWhat\u2019s on the line\u2014
\nHelp me cherish the days, one by one,
\nAnd use well my time with this
\nSweet child of mine,
\nFor I can\u2019t get it back once it’s gone.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You see, as much as I would love for my children to “rise up and call [me] blessed,” (Proverbs 31:28<\/a>) I long even more to hear my Savior say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.<\/em>“<\/strong> (Matthew 25:23<\/a>)<\/p>\n

But in order for that to happen, I’ve got to use well the time He has given me to do the task I’ve been assigned<\/strong>. Which right now means lovingly and faithfully training my children, teaching them, and pointing them to Him.<\/p>\n
