The response has been so positive to the free printable coloring pages<\/a> I shared over Christmas that I’ve decided to make it a regular feature <\/strong>in the New Year, starting with this Teach Us to Number Our Days coloring page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I plan to upload a new one each Sunday.<\/strong> Many will be adapted from pages in my devotional journal series<\/a>. But others will be brand new, like this week’s.<\/p>\n\n\n

“Teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.” (Psalm 90:12<\/a>) <\/strong>Can you think of a more fitting verse for the coming New Year?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, numbering my days means evaluating how I’ve been spending my time. It means investing it in ways that help me focus on my highest priorities <\/strong>and make progress toward my most important goals<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do the Math<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes my husband likes to take a literal approach to this verse<\/strong>. Here’s the worksheet<\/a> he uses, not only to number his days, but to count his summers, weekends, hours and minutes. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n

Of course, this is assuming he makes it to age 80. That’s pretty sobering stuff, isn’t it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However you choose to do it, I hope you’ll give some good thought to this verse, and make your time on earth count<\/strong>. Encourage your children to do the same. (A great book on this topic: Don’t Waste Your Life<\/a> by John Piper)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
