As I mentioned last week, one of the things I enjoy most about Christmas is getting to listen to beloved old carols <\/strong>all month long (like “O Come, Let Us Adore Him!”. (If you’re a fan of traditional carols, too, you may want to test your knowledge with this Christmas Carol Quiz<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While I sometimes like to hear new Christmas songs, I never tire of listening to (and singing!) the old ones<\/strong>. I’d be perfectly content to keep belting those out, right on through January and on into June and July — a cappella, even.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here’s me singing “O Come, All Ye Faithful.” That’s a small sample of what you’d be hearing all month long if you were a fly on the wall at our house. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whether you joined me in singing that old classic or not, I hope you’ll take this week’s “Word on Wednesday” to heart:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we celebrate Christmas this week and wrap up 2015 next, I pray you will carry a song with you throughout the New Year <\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You must make room in your heart and life for praise and adoration. <\/strong>“O come, let us adore Him!” That invitation doesn’t end when we take down the tree and pack away the nativity set.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s strive (along with the reformed Ebenezer Scrooge) “to honor Christmas in [our] heart and try to keep it all the year<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
