But <strong>if we just stop at feeling grateful, we miss out on an extra blessing<\/strong>. The blessing of encouragement.<\/p>\n<p>The Bible instructs us:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.&#8221;<br \/>\n (<a href=\"http:\/\/biblehub.com\/1_thessalonians\/5-11.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1 Thessalonians 5:11<\/a>)\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Of course, <strong>there are lots of ways you can encourage others. Expressing gratitude is only one of many<\/strong>. But it&#8217;s such an obvious one. And at this time of year, it&#8217;s a sensible place to start.<\/p>\n<p>As Robert Brault once observed, &#8220;There is no such thing as <a href=\"http:\/\/lovinglifeathome.com\/2012\/11\/22\/they-wont-know-it-till-you-show-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gratitude unexpressed<\/a>. If it is unexpressed, it is plain, old-fashioned ingratitude.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So this Thanksgiving,<strong> when you think about how grateful you are for certain people in your life, take it one step further and tell them so!<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li><\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flandersfamily.info\/web\/how-to-write-a-thank-you-note\/\">Write them a letter<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.incourage.me\/2015\/11\/now-or-never-using-your-words-to-love.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Send them a text<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Express your feelings face to face<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tell them what you love and appreciate most about them. <\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I guarantee <strong>they will be blessed by your taking time to do this<\/strong>.
