Our family has always enjoyed a competitive round of Putt-Putt golf<\/strong>, although we normally save that activity for vacation.<\/p>\n

\"FF<\/p>\n

We love playing semi-challenging courses with lots of waterfalls and pirate ships and caves and bridges.<\/p>\n

\"FF<\/p>\n

Sometimes our littlest guys get to play free, but it means sporting a plastic club instead of a real one.<\/p>\n

\"FF<\/p>\n

That’s actually a good thing, especially considering the fact that our little ones have been known to swing for the ball without first checking behind them<\/strong>, and the rest of us have occasionally gotten smacked in the belly or the head or some other such sensitive area as a result.<\/p>\n

\"FF<\/p>\n

Even when it happens by accident, it still hurts<\/strong>. Just think how much more damage would be done if the little guys were swinging for us intentionally!<\/p>\n

\"FF<\/p>\n

The Bible says our words can be used like a club. If we aren’t careful, what we say can hurt others, even if we don’t mean to.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"FF<\/p>\n

But when we intentionally say hurtful or untrue things about others (whether to their face or behind their backs), it’s like we are using our words as a weapon<\/strong>, and we can do irreparable damage.<\/p>\n

This week’s verse is Proverbs 25:18<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“Like a club or a sword or a sharp arrow is one who gives false testimony against a neighbor.” <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
