\"Abigail\"Our youngest daughter, Abigail Rose, is five already and hardly a baby anymore. She loves babies, though, and spent several years praying daily that Mom would have twins<\/strong>. Jennifer would love to have accommodated that request, but God hasn’t seen fit to give us any more children after Abby.<\/p>\n

So it’s a good thing this one is double sweet! In some families, the baby gets spoiled, but Abby stays too busy taking care of everybody else to let that happen.
\n<\/strong>
\nWhen we have company, Abigail is the first to offer our guests a cold drink. If a sibling is sick, she waits on him and comforts him and helps administer his shots, medicines, or breathing treatments<\/strong>. When one of her baby nephews cries, she fetches toys and blankets and pacifiers and does her very best to cheer him up.<\/p>\n

Abigail does her best to hang tight with Isaac, Daniel, and Gabriel, both at work and at play. She grabs pen and paper and joins them at the kitchen table for their spelling lessons every day<\/strong>, and when it’s time for recess, she does a pretty good job keeping up, as well. <\/p>\n

It helps that she’s a super-quick runner and can ride a bicycle long distance — she doesn’t even need training wheels<\/strong>, as you can see in this video I took earlier this year: <\/p>\n
