\"JonOur firstborn, Jonathan, works at a local hospital as an ICU nurse. He met his beautiful bride, Matti, when he was 15<\/strong> and both were volunteering as Red Cross swim instructors. <\/p>\n

They married three years later and wasted no time in starting their family. At 29, Jon now juggles the roles of loving husband, doting father, and primary breadwinner<\/strong>, while Matti breastfeeds babies, homeschools, keeps house, volunteers at a local Crisis Pregnancy Center, and makes wonderful scrapbooks. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s a lot of responsibility for such young shoulders, but by God\u2019s grace, they both do a terrific job of keeping all the balls in the air! Jon and Matti have given us six grandsons in eight years and are now expecting #7<\/strong>, but whether the newest addition will break the streak of boys remains to be seen. We’ll be happy either way, as their children are best friends to our younger kids — the little aunts and uncles who are closest to their ages! <\/p>\n
