This activity has become one of our family’s favorite Christmas traditions. For the past several years, we’ve hosted a “shoebox stuffing party” and invited friends and neighbors to come join us. We serve a “bean and rice buffet” — staples in many of the countries Operation Christmas Child serves — then we all wrap the boxes together and fill them with goodies our guests bring from home. Any children who are too young to wrap are put to work recycling old Christmas cards into holiday greetings to include inside each package. Once the last box is filled, we all pray together for the children who will receive our gifts.
Kids of all ages will enjoy the opportunity to spread some Christmas cheer early this year, so gather a few friends and start stuffing!
