Praying for Our Leaders Coloring Page

Praying for Leaders

Whew! What a week! Has there ever been another election like this one? Just nine more days until it’s over, for good or for ill.

I’ll say one thing for this presidential race — it has served as an urgent reminder of how desperately our leaders and our nation needs prayer. And praying is exactly what the Bible commands us to do.

“First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered on behalf of all men — for kings and all those in authority, so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-3

If the daily news is not reminder enough to lift our country up in prayer, I made this verse the theme for this week’s coloring page.

More to Color

Do you like to color? Come back again next week. I publish a new coloring page almost every Sunday. Or you can follow this link to download any of the pages I’ve posted in the past: Free Christian Coloring Pages.

Would you prefer a bound collection? Then check out my Color the Word series. I designed these richly-detailed, Scripture-based coloring books with grown-ups in mind. But they’re appropriate for younger ages, as well. They’re even available in Spanish!

If you enjoy journaling as well as coloring, my devotional journals offer the best of both worlds. This “Praying for Our Leaders” printable first appeared in God Bless America, my devotional journal for patriots.

My goal in creating this little journal was to inspire readers to think deeply about what it means to be an American. What is our responsibility to the rest of the world? How can we preserve the freedoms with which we’ve been blessed? And how do we ensure the guiding principles on which our nation was established are never forgotten?
